In the Last Two Weeks....

It has been a busy, but fun two weeks.

Started from scratch with this.
Just about finished...
Turned right side out....
And all done!
This is an Amy Butler pattern that is great for make-up bags.
A peek inside.
Time for cooking salsa.
The dogs during the salsa prep.
Pretty little Lola in the garden by the peppers.
Yum.
And more peppers.
Salsa and a few jars of tomato juice to make soup.

The ladies checking out the goods.

Delicious!
And one more bag made from scratch.

The inside.
All put together.

The "outside" of the reversible bag.
Charcoal checking out the goods. Oh, and see the little yellow pot in the background, it has cuttings from my succulent garden for another project.
Put in my first magnetic pocket. They are super easy, but new to me!
The "inside" of the reversible bag.

Found these beauties on sale at Cactus and Tropical.
Thought they would look lovely in my living room. The need to be soaked in water so....
I bought this plastic container. Really, I bought two because I wanted to line one with hemp and didn't know if the glue gun would burn through and make one leak. It did. So I just tossed the plain plastic inside this one and no more leaking.
I love the way it turned out.
Found these on sale.
And this little gem.
Put it together to make a lovely little indoor garden.

Each project helps me a little with the next one. What I liked, what I would change, and what completely failed (a few of those to come in my next post!)

Oktoberfest at the Bird

What a lovely way to spend a warm weekend afternoon with the best of friends. It was as close to a perfect day as I could wish for.

The start of the day.
Worker man.
Tehehe.

The Vala family!
Tim hiding behind Isaac.

Isaac was enjoying the band until he said "why are they playing this sad song?" I'll let Bec tell the rest of this story, but it was HILARIOUS! Isaac didn't really like them much after that and absolutely refused to go back on the dance floor with me.

Cuddle bug.

Sam was a little unsure when the Tram started moving.

Isaac was excited!

Lovely view!
Getting more excited the closer we got to the top.
Still dressing alike after all these years.
Such a serious little face when the tram driver talked about "no kicking or throwing rocks." Isaac almost was in disbelief....tehehe.
Goofball.

It looks like I am taking something gross off of Tim, but it was just a cute lil ladybug.

Trying to get the boys to smile.
Getting closer to everyone smiling.

Too bad Sam wouldn't look up!

One of my favorite pictures ever!

Boys!
Still trying to get that smile.
"No more pictures."

Not so sure about sitting on this by himself. (Don't worry, this one wasn't in action!)

But he didn't want to get off once Tim was on it with him.

Isaac always looks so tough when he is with Dave!
Stealing Tim's glasses at every opportunity.
Tim's eyes still make my heart skip a little beat!
Playing around on top of the mountain.
Isaac's mischievous smile.
Those boys crack me up!
Dave and Isaac making the same face.

Hiking down to the chair lift.

In the tunnel.

Love this guy.
Ready for a ride.

Both boys enjoyed the ride.

Fell asleep on the way down.
There is that sweet smile.
Such a mellow, happy guy.
Love all the changing expressions.
